Chip'd is the Northgate Street chip stop: Dutch-style chips, cones, loaded fries, chicken bits, bitterballen and enough dips to turn a simple order into a tiny admin task. It is close to Storyhouse and the Town Hall, which makes it useful when everyone needs something hot and nobody wants to sit through a full restaurant meal.

Expect cones of chips, loaded fries, meal boxes, chicken wraps, kids' boxes, Dutch snacks, chip butties, soft drinks and plenty of dip-based decision paralysis. Vegan and vegetarian options are listed, but check allergens directly if that matters.
Avoid if
Avoid if you want a quiet restaurant meal, table service, a long sit-down, or a balanced plate of greenery. It is chips. That is rather the point.

Use it as the Northgate pit stop. Storyhouse is just down the street, the Town Hall is close, and Chester Market gives you the sit-down mixed-group backup if chips alone will not settle the room.

Blue Bell The Blue Bell on Northgate Street is one of Chester's older pub buildings, with a history going back centuries. It has been through various incarnations over the years but retains a city-centre local feel. Worth a look for the building as much as the drink. 
Chester Town Hall Chester Town Hall is a grand Victorian civic building standing beside the Cathedral and the city centre. Its Gothic Revival architecture gives Northgate Street real drama, and it remains one of the key landmarks around the heart of Chester. Even if you are only passing by, it helps anchor that distinctive old-city atmosphere.
