Locally edited.
Mildly opinionated.
Useful on purpose.
TTDC is a Chester guide edited locally by Rob, built for people who want a decent pub, a useful restaurant, a rainy-day backup, or something to do without reading twelve identical listicles.
TTDC is edited in and around Chester by Rob. It uses data where data is useful, then adds the local judgement that data usually lacks: which places are actually good for sport, which beer gardens deserve the name, and which listings need a human eyebrow raised at them.
The site is intentionally practical. It covers pubs, bars, restaurants, attractions and guides that help people make a decision quickly. It is not trying to catalogue every business in Cheshire, which is noble work for someone with stronger tea.
Google Places data gives the base: address, hours, ratings, amenities and photos. TTDC then applies local checks, category corrections, editorial descriptions and hand-approved tags where the raw data misses the obvious.
Spotted a venue that is closed, missing, wrongly tagged, or described with suspicious levels of nonsense? Email [email protected].
Ratings and opening hours can change quickly. TTDC is a strong starting point, not a legal contract with the universe. If a trip depends on a dog policy, booking, kitchen time or event, check directly with the venue.
